Welcome to Bitter Botanist. By accessing or using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. About Our Products

We make handmade soap and other personal-care products in small batches. Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, appearance, scent, texture, and size may occur from one batch to another.

Product photographs are intended to provide a general representation of our products. Actual products may have minor differences.

2. Product Use

Our products are intended for their stated and customary uses.

Please read product descriptions and ingredient lists before purchasing. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity to an ingredient, do not use a product containing that ingredient.

Discontinue use if irritation or an adverse reaction occurs.

Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

3. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information necessary to process and deliver your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order when necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, inventory errors, or other circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will issue a refund for the amount charged.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change at any time without notice. A price change will not affect an order that has already been placed and accepted.

Payments are processed through the payment services available at checkout.

5. Shipping

We ship orders to the destinations and using the shipping methods available at checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for delays or delivery problems caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery times are controlled by the carrier and may be affected by weather, holidays, carrier delays, or other circumstances outside our control.

6. Returns and Refunds

Because our products are personal-care products, we generally cannot accept returns of products that have been opened or used.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery with your order information and, when appropriate, photographs of the issue.

Any approved refund or replacement will be handled according to our Shipping & Returns Policy.

7. Monthly Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription product, you authorize us to charge the payment method associated with your subscription according to the subscription terms presented at checkout.

Subscription orders renew automatically according to the billing schedule shown when you subscribe.

You may cancel your subscription according to the cancellation options provided through our website. Cancellation will prevent future renewals but does not automatically cancel an order that has already been processed.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue a subscription product when necessary. If we discontinue a subscription, we will not charge you for future renewal periods after the subscription has been discontinued.

8. Website Content

The content on this website, including photographs, product descriptions, graphics, logos, written materials, and other original content, belongs to Bitter Botanist unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our original content for commercial purposes without our permission.

9. Website Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep our website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, or free from errors.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the website at any time.
